London Scottish are delighted to confirm the signing of Canadian internationalist Connor Braid on a permanent contract until the end of the season.

The 24-year-old back joins from Guinness PRO12 outfit Glasgow Warriors having made a significant impact on loan at London Scottish earlier this season.

Braid played four times for the Scots in October, scoring three tries, including a brace on debut during a 64-16 win over Plymouth Albion.

He has 14 international caps to his name, earning his most recent caps during the November international series against Namibia and Samoa.

The former Doncaster Knight also featured in Glasgow Warriors' last three Guinness PRO12 games and the deal reached between the two clubs will see Braid re-join Gregor Townsend's side on loan for a short period during the 2015 Six Nations Championship.

Braid said: “I am excited to be back in London having really enjoyed my four-week loan spell in October.

“It's a great set-up down here, with a young, energetic coaching team who are really ambitious and it's good to see the boys have continued their winning form over the past few weeks.”

He added: “We are sitting third in the Greene King IPA Championship just now and hopefully I can play my part in helping the Club stay in the top four.”

London Scottish Director of Rugby, Mike Friday, said: “We have built-up a strong relationship with Glasgow Warriors and this deal works for both clubs and most importantly Connor.

“His character and personality are perfect for the type of player we want in this squad and he was really impressive for us in October.

“Connor will add both pace and power to the backline and I'm excited to see how he goes for the rest of the season.”
