London Scottish have confirmed the signing of lock Dom McGeekie for next season.
The former Harlequins academy player has represented the club at Under 18 and A League level, and captained the 1st XV at John Fisher School in Croydon, where he was Head Boy.
The 21-year-old then embarked on a Sports Coaching degree at Cardiff Metropolitan University, where he graduates from this year. During his studies he played for Cardiff Met RFC in the BUCS Premier competition and Welsh Championship across the second-row and back-row.
McGeekie is thrilled to have signed his first professional contract. “I’m ecstatic to have been presented with the opportunity to join a prestigious, well established club such as London Scottish.”
He added: “I’m looking forward to getting stuck into full time training, bettering myself as an athlete, and adding value into the squad for the upcoming season.”
Head Coach Peter Richards is pleased to have another player heading to the Athletic Ground.
“Dom is a promising young talent and is an exciting signing for next season. This is the right club for him to develop as a player and we look forward to seeing him in action.”
