Loughborough Students second row Theo Vukasinovic has agreed terms with London Scottish for the 2018/19 season as he becomes the third Loughborough graduate to join the squad for next season.

Vukasinovic joins hooker Ollie Adams and Luke Frost swapping Epinal Way for The Athletic Ground next season.

Theo attended Reeds School whilst playing Under 18 representative rugby for London Irish before being part of their Senior Academy for a season in 2014. After turning down a contract extension with Irish, Vukasinovic decided to attend the illustrious Loughborough University and focus on full-time education. The second rower will now make the move back into professional rugby.

Director of Rugby Dave Morris was happy to add the lofty second rower to his ranks for next season. “Theo is another Loughborough player who I know well and have worked with very closely. He has developed a lot during his three years at Loughborough both as a player and a person. He is a very good lineout forward and dynamic around the pitch. He has produced some standout performances in the BUCS leagues and also has over 30 National One games to his name. If we get his physical development right, I believe Theo will develop into a very impactful Championship operator. He is also a local lad which is great to have in our squad.”

Vukasinovic made himself known for his set-piece ability and unstinting work rate and went on to make 32 appearances for the side in National One and many more for the University side in BUCS Super Rugby.

The former London Irish player was looking forward to getting involved with Scottish later this month. “It’s great to be signing for Scottish, it is exciting to be part of a set up that offers its players so much progression. I am looking forward to returning to professional rugby and working with both Nic and Dave who I have been coached by and played with previously.”

Vukasinovic will join Tjiuee Uanvivi and James Tyas in the second row ranks for Nic Rouse’s side in 2018/19.
