A really stuffy performance – hard fought, Bank were a strong disciplined side but our forwards never let their forwards get into their game – hard yard tackling –

Bank started the game by giving away penalty after penalty for infringing at
the breakdown area – and we were rewarded with 3 points from a Tom McArthur
penalty, Bank responded within 5 mins with a pickup from a 5 metre scrum and
their no 8 went over  – ( not converted ) The remainder of the first half
remained a tight game – with both sides trying to run the ball , but defence
on both sides remained  – tight. We were rewarded with another penalty
later in the half  converted by Tom.

Half Time score Scottish 6 – Bank 5

The second half  – was a hotly contested affair – hard fought up front –
gritty forward stuff – well done…The forwards began to look more settled
in the scrum and ruck where they  began to dominate the tight and breakdown
areas – Ollie Sanderson had a great break down then right wing taking us
well into their 22  – a ruck was set  up just outside the 22 and Ollie
Fitton made an strong run  – but keeping on his feet  – he had Tom McA on
his shoulder and Ollie sucked in all the defence allowing him to make a
quick offload to Tom  – who had an easy  step over the line to dab it down –
Fantastic effort and great  score ( Unconverted ) Bank 5 – Scottish 11

In the meantime the we were having injury problems in the backs – Nana  –
was taken off  – came back on then was stretchered off went to Hospital (
Happily it is only ligament staring round the ankle – but he will be out for
some time ) Hot Dog also had to go off with ankle injury.

20 minutes of the half remained and it was highly contested affair but our
forwards kept on top of things with fantastic tight play – great tackling
and some strong breaks – we kept pressuring Bank line but no more tries
came.

The last 3 minutes was a torrid period with Bank pressurising our line near
the posts – They were awarded a penalty for off side infront of the posts  –
they took a quick tap penalty – Ollie Fitton put in a huge tackle – Bank
recycled the ball 3 metres out and they attacked again Hamish Coventry
completely wrapped the player infront of the posts and our forwards quickly
reorganised themselves and set  up a strong maul and drove Bank back – We
were awarded a scrum which we won and Tom cleared our lines – FULL TIME and
fantastic result.
