U10s had two teams of similar strength playing in the Development A & B leagues at the London Scottish Festival.
Each of U10 teams played well throughout the Festival with victories, a draw and narrow losses against strong opposition.
One of the pleasing things was the increased physicality and aggression (all in good spirit of course!) shown by many of the U10s particularly when defending close to the try line. One of the other highlights was winning turnover ball in rucks very close to the try line. There were also some great tries scored by players finding space and beating multiple defenders or even better for the coaches, after some good support play and passes/off-loads to the try scorer.
The Festival also enabled the U10 coaches, the teams and the individual players to see where they are early in the season compared to other clubs and what the U10s and the coaches need to really work on especially before the Christmas break. The U10s are in good shape early in the season and are enjoying their rugby.
The U10s had great fun at the Festival and as always did themselves and London Scottish proud!
