With the Rugby World Cup behind us, our U9s are this season tackling the core of rugby: contact.
Our U9s have taken up the challenge very well and we expect most of them to get involved in the next RWC in Japan; on an armchair eating crisps and watching TV!
Last week we hosted our own Festival and competed with 2 teams (the Highlanders and the Lowlanders) in 2 pools against very strong opposition.
Both teams did themselves proud with the Highlanders narrowly losing the final.
Our recruitment in the last few seasons has been successful and we have now players from all over the world. From both the Southern and Northern Hemispheres and in particular the 6 Nation countries and some even with ties in the Far East.
We are all together growing a multi-national team of Year 4 kids wearing the Scottish colours and having fun on Sundays.
Next is another Minis tournament at Richmond RFC. Then the U9s will be jousting against the Magna Carta Barons at Staines.
