Walker rues missed opportunities as focus turns to New Year’s Day

Chris Walker has urged the Scots to be more clinical if they are to turn tight defeats in to victories in the second half of the Greene King IPA Championship season.

Scottish currently sit eighth in the table, and after the defeat to Ealing Trailfinders, Walker says that the Scots must look for a win on New Year's Day against Bedford Blues in front of the Sky Sports cameras.

“The Boxing Day loss was hard to take as we didn't help ourselves by letting them play.” Said the Flanker.

He added: “We have to focus on our mindset and attitude for what will be a massive test at Bedford.”

The New Zealander has been a key figure for the Scots this season with 13 appearances, and is looking for results to improve with 10 Championship matches left.

“We need to come together and cut out some of the mistakes and poor discipline that have been halting us in the past few weeks. If we do that I'm certain that more positive results will follow very soon.”
