Dorking Too Strong for Highlanders

27th January 2014

The Highlanders returned to action on Saturday going down to a 42-29 defeat away to Dorking in an entertaining league clash.

Despite the Highlanders starting strongly and putting some good passages of rugby together scoring four tries in the game, hosts Dorking scored seven of their own.

The Highlanders were just 20-19 down at the break but four Dorking tries in the second half allowed them to claim victory.

Two of Dorking's tries were as a result of turning over ball and running the length of the field.

London Scottish coach Corne du Rand said: “The team is playing some good rugby but lack a consistent focus and we'll look to address that before this weekend’s game.”

Meanwhile the Extra Bs went down to a 57-10 defeat at Rosslyn Park.

The Claymores game at OP Saints was postponed due to unplayable pitches.
