London Scottish learnt this week that unfortunately devoted member June Mackintosh (1927-2018) has passed away.
June and her Husband Hugh have been with the club since 1971 and supported the club as they fought up the leagues. June was one first lady members of the club and possibly the oldest.
June was instrumental in the introduction of having programmes for sale at games. When London Scottish started climbing the league table, June would organise her son Iain to publish and print the programmes and she would sell them on the terraces with a number of volunteers.
She had a wonderful life and London Scottish was a large part of that. She had many memorable moments with what she called her extended family at London Scottish, supporting the team from the sidelines attending many functions which she thoroughly enjoyed.
We remember June with fond memories as a true London Scot who’s support never wavered and she will be sorely missed.
Details of the funeral are yet to be confirmed, but if friends would like to share their memories and find out more they can contact Hugh Mackintosh on 07960910311.
