Massive game awaits the Scots at Castle Park

29th March 2019

It is a crucial weekend for London Scottish as they head north tomorrow to face Doncaster Knights in Round 19 of the Greene King IPA Championship.

Both teams sit in 8th & 9th in the Championship ladder and share the same points tally so tomorrow’s fixture is pivotal for the outcome of this season.

After a tough battle with Yorkshire Carnegie last weekend, Nic Rouse has been forced to rotate his squad due to injury. Billy Harding picked up an ankle injury, Matt Eliet is out with concussion, Luke Frost is out for the rest of the season with a knee injury and Tom Fowlie picked up a knock and has returned to London Irish.

Jared Saunders comes in for Billy Harding with Ollie Adams named on the bench. Adams has been on loan with London Irish but returns this weekend. Jonny Harris and Richard Palframan continue in the front row. The second row is unchanged with Byron Hodge and Theo Vukasinovic in the engine room.

Tjiuee Uanivi starts at blindside flanker with Matt Eliet injured and Lewis Wynne suspended. James Tyas moves to the openside and Mark Bright skippers at number eight.

Ed Hoadley returns from his loan spell at Chinnor in National One to start as Josh Barton slides down to the bench. Rory Jennings continues again at fly half.

Richie Vernon comes in for Tom Fowlie and pushes Tom Griffiths out to outside centre. Bobby Beattie, Charlie Ingall and Rob Stevenson make up the back three.

Young back rower Miles Wakeling, who came through the ranks at London Scottish, could make his Championship debut from the bench after making some appearances in the Championship Cup.
