Director of Rugby Dave Morris has selected a strong side to take on the Dragons Premiership Select this weekend in the first round of the British and Irish Cup.

Morris has taken advantage of the two week break from the Greene King IPA Championship and decided to rest some key players who missed out against Bristol, hoping to make sure they are fully fit when the Scots take on Hartpury in two weekends time.

The London Scottish side named for this game is bursting full of Premiership and Championship experience, including some International honours with American Eagle prop Dino Waldren and Canadian Kyle Baillie both being given starting berths.

Ex-Worcester and Italian prop Derrick Appiah joins Waldren up front as serviceman Bombardier Pete Austin gets his first start at Hooker. Fellow servicemen Gareth Smith is named on the bench and will be looking to make his first appearance for Scottish.

Gregor Gillanders starts with Kyle Baillie in the second row after an impressive cameo at Ashton Gate last weekend. Club Captain and New Zealand native Chris Walker starts in the back row and will lead the side out. He is joined in the back row by Matt Marley and Matt Eliet.

Ed Hoadley continues at scrum half with six foot five Oxford Blue fly half Basil Strang at outside half. Strang is supported by Greene King IPA Championship ever presents Fraser Lyle and Ross Neal start at 12 and 13 respectively.

Alec Coombes starts on the wing along with Rob Stevenson who will run out at The Athletic Ground for the first time. New signing Charlie Ingall, who has joined from Sale Sharks, also plays his first game for London Scottish as he starts at full back.

Dan George returns on the bench after suffering from a neck injury and is accompanied by Ben Onyeama Christie and Gareth Smith. Namibian International Tjiuee Uanivi and Max Berry are the other forwards on the bench. Josh Barton remains as a scrum half replacement after playing against Bristol from bench and Joe Luca Smith will cover the backline.

London Scottish (15-1): Ingall, Coombes, Neal, Lyle, Stevenson, Strang, Hoadley; Eliet, Marley, Walker (c), Gillanders, Baillie, Waldren, Austin, Appiah.

Replacements: George, Onyeama Christie, Smith, Uanivi, Berry, Barton, Smith.
