London Scottish Lions made a flying start to life as a newly promoted side to Counties 1 Herts-Middsx. They took on Old Streetonians for the first time the in Club’s history and with five debutants in the side made light work for their opponents.
With two tries apiece for Jem Edwards and Fergus Chapman, the Lions secured an opening day bonus point win on home soil.
The Lions didn’t have it all their own way leading by just three points at half time. But a strong second half showing saw them race away to a 52-20 victory.
It’s back to back home games for the Lions as they continue their new season at King’s House against Chiswick RFC this Saturday. With the 1st XV away at Bath, it is a perfect opportunity to get down and support them.
