U16’s scored an important first league game victory away at Tabard RFC in Radlett on Sunday.
A squad of 22 players, coaches, physio, management and parents departed by bus from a gloomy Athletic Ground early on Sunday morning to head north to play newly promoted Tabard in Division 2 of the Herts / Middx League.
The rain started 10 minutes before kick off and didn't stop during the full 70 minutes of play. London Scottish backs providing some exciting passages of play, whilst the forwards showed their metal in a gritty performance.
London Scottish finally winning the game 14-31 with a bonus point for their efforts, a great way to kick off the season whilst challenging for top place in the division.
Lead coach Lawrence Vaike said 'The boys showed great determination today in horrible conditions, the backs kept a firm grip on a slippery ball and the teams determination and organisation won the day, we are very proud of them'.
London Scottish U16's now look forward to hosting Cheshunt in the next league game in two weeks time.
